Acupuncture
Acupuncture, is an ancient form of medicine which is gaining more and more popularity in the US for the treatment of both acute and chronic pain.
During a treatment, solid, hairlike thin needles are inserted at specific points, or “neural nodes” on the body. The stimulation of these points/nodes affects both the central and peripheral nervous systems, triggering the release of the body’s internal chemicals such as endorphins and enkephalins, which have pain-relieving, and regulating properties.
If you have chronic or lingering pain that is not being effectively treated by western medicine or other modalities, consider acupuncture which offers a time-tested, reliable method of pain relief.
At NAAHAC we are continually engaged in advanced education and training in order to provide our patients with the highest level of service, safety, and effectiveness. In addition to training in Traditional Chinese acupuncture, we have training and/or certifications in several additional styles and techniques of acupuncture including Applied Channel Therapy, Auricular Acupuncture, Korean Hand Therapy and The Balance Method of Acupuncture.
The Balance Method of Acupuncture evolved from the I Ching, one of the oldest books in the world. This method is also known as “I Ching Acupuncture,” “The Balance Method,” or “Distal Point Acupuncture.” Regardless of the name, the effects are often nothing less than miraculous.
The Balance Method produces near instantaneous results making it an invaluable diagnostic tool, as well as treatment for pain relief. This style of Acupuncture also helps to create a treatment matrix for some more difficult conditions which have not responded to other types of treatment, including: western physical therapy, chiropractics, exercise and occupational therapy. This is the technique we most often incorporate into our community and professional workshops for pain relief.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
We maintain one of most extensive Chinese Herbal Pharmacy of granular herbs with more than a hundred Classic formulas, Collection formulas, and Individual herbs in Utah and we are expanding it continually to meet the needs of our patients.
